Are you surprised by your lack of knowledge of the plants you encounter on your way? And do you also have difficulty telling the difference between a linden tree and an oak tree – or naming the flowers on the edge of a ditch?

This is called plant blindness. A concept that explains and describes why we humans often have difficulty seeing and recognizing the plants in our surroundings and appreciating their importance in the world.

In this podcast series ‘Planternes Stemme” (The Voice of Plants), botanist Louise Isager Ahl and journalist Nalle Kirkvåg take us on a tour of the flora hiding in plain sight.

They tell stories about the plants you encounter on your way that you might overlook on a daily basis. The purpose is to ensure that Danes know about plants, their fascinating properties and stories.
